Spent the better part of our stay last night walking the deserted beach. This is a place and campground we would return to and recommend to anyone traveling to the Outer Banks. It is right on the ocean among multi-million dollar homes. There is water on both side of the spit of land we are on. The land this campground sits on has to be worth millions and I’m sure the neighbors are not too thrilled. The owner is in her 80’s and doesn’t seem like she is going to close up shop anytime soon.

Spent the morning on the beach catching some sunshine, watching the birds and ocean waves. Oh yes, this is great. Did run into some congestion on the miles long beach today. About 6 people were out sunning and fishing. Cannot even begin to imagine what this place is like during tourist season. Bet you can’t get a spot on the beach and would not have much fun getting an RV down the very narrow roads. Ron had to pry me out of my beach chair to continue our journey. I wanted to stay and Mr. Antsy wanted to leave.

Will be continuing our journey to the Outer Banks. We do have two nights scheduled at a very pricey KOA in Cape Hatteras but Ron got one night FREE so this is good.

Decided to take the scenic route through the countryside weaving in and out of the shoreline. Can’t believe the size and number of houses and condos right on the ocean. Everyone seems to be competing for the same view. We pulled into a great spot on the ocean for a break and to have lunch.

In order to get to our destination for the night had to board two separate Ferry’s. Both were free and it was fun crossing the inter-costal waterways in our RV on a Ferry.
Well, just pulled up to our next campsite in Belhaven, NC. Kind of out of the way but decided we did enough driving and site seeing for the day.
