Maryland Odometer Reading: 39,400.6

Had a great night’s sleep and then realty. Drove to the gas pump for the first surprise of the day. Yeeks, $2.85 per gallon and the Columbus sure was thirsty. Had to gas up or the co-pilot would have had a “breakdown.” Not worth the aggravation.

<---- This is the orginally planned overnight stay in Philly, however after the buses departed it seemed a little desolate and remote so we ventured on.

Walked to the sights in Philly to get a look at the Liberty Bell. Sure wasn’t what it was cracked up to be. LOL. Toured the area but wasn’t as impressed as we hoped we would be. Couldn’t compete with DC. We did walk 3 ¼ miles down South Street to the Mutter Museum where we amazed by the medical oddities on display. Oh, did I forget to mention that since that long walk we are both hurting big time. Talk about sore legs and feet. That will teach us not to do our first exercise of the year all in one day.

<--- Along our walking route down South Street we saw incredible architecture and some unusaul art work. To the left is a walkway between two buildings that have been covered with all types of materials used as mosaics. Quite a sight. Recommend this walk.

Continued on the road to a Laurel, Maryland rest area that has spaces set up just for RV’s. Didn’t have to park among the trucks and the roads were set up separately for truck, cars, and motorhomes, so no traffic either. In fact we also have access to free WiFi. What a country!
Did get a meal of sorts tonight. Think maybe we just might eat a real meal tomorrow night if the cook agrees. (That would be the wife) Tomorrow its on to Luray Caverns in Virginia. This is really living!!! Feel free to leave comment on Blog. Next time we get access will respond.
